Coronation Stakes
The Coronation Stakes is one of the Grade One races scheduled today, and the field for this one is packed with big names. But having scoured the market and viewed the odds, we think that Homeless Songs is a good play here. This horse has been flawless in 2022, winning both races so far, and he could easily upstage the favorite – Inspiral. Homeless Songs has odds of 4.5 to win too, which would lead to a nice payout.
With this said, Inspiral is a fierce horse with a great track record. So we feel that these two will be pushing each other all the way. And really, it should be a close finish. So if you don’t want to play things too risky, you could always make an each-way wager on either horse. This would produce a lesser return, but it has a better chance of pulling through.
Commonwealth Cup
The Commonwealth Cup is actually run right before the Coronation Stakes, so you may want to follow up on this tip prior to the one shown above. As for the tip itself, we are going with El Caballo for the win here. This horse hasn’t failed to win a race in more than 12 months, winning six of his last seven events. Of course, this kind of form is tough to ignore, and El Caballo has been given odds of 6.00. That’s mainly due to the size of the lineup, which is more significant than other events.
King Edward VII Stakes
Moving to the G2 events now, the King Edward VII Stakes is the first one we want to address. With this race being held over the course of almost 2.5km, it’s quite a demanding and fun race to watch.
